Mat Ricardo returns to the forums!
No, there's no reason you should care, but I'm an attention whore.
Hello lovelies - been a long time since I've hung out here, but I think I might start doing so again. I wonder if anyone remembers me..
Towards the end of last year I started to lose my mojo with performing - started to pretty much hate it, which isn't a pleasant thing to get after 23 years of doing it. So I've started a second career as a photographer which is feeding my artistic side a little, and as a happy extra, my passion for performing is starting to come back big time. Yay.
Anyway - here I am again. Be gentle with me.
Here are a couple of burlesquey-type examples of my work as a photographer:

and if you need reminding about my performing work, the website's the place.

Thanks.. yes I like to use existing light as much as possible - especially for shots of performers on stage etc.. stage lighting is usually pretty simple and dramatic, so it's often possible to separate the background out and get some nice striking effects..
