I agree... I think although most people might realise immediately such a large cake is fake, this really gives it away immediately... but that could just be poor photography and they might also look better in the dim lights of a club/pub etc.

there used to be a big, three tiered, round, wooden one at the burlesque bar i used to perform at...

it was on wheels, they'd wheel you out and sometimes i wouldn't know which was was the front after having been spun around so much
i was always worried i'd pop out facing the back...

plus, i'm quite short, so i wouldn't come out very far when I did jump up...

if you have one custom made, i'd make sure it is easy to transport
