Thread: I still cant find this song!!!

Aahhg! I must have this song! I must!
It is called Honey Rock and i think it is by Barney Kessel, but i cant seem to download it, its not on any of his cd's i've found on Amazon, and when someone said its on the Tease burlesque cd it turns out to just be an instrumental version and definitely not as cool.
I googled it, and what i found out is that Honey Rock was a rare recording of his and its hard to find.
Can anyone help me?

i have that cd and it has the song on, it's a woman ocassionaly proclaiming 'HONEY!' isn't it? it's definitly on that and there are other great tracks too. it's a cd called Tease: the beat of burlesque.

O.kay. I listened to the "Sample" song off that same Cd, but it didn't quite sound right and you never heard the girl say "honey!"....thank goodness im wrong. I'm going to buy the cd

That is the cd and the very recording I used. It only has the lady singing "Honey!" at various points then "Go Honey Go!" and thats it.

don't trust the sample songs...!! also other good cd's for burly would be take it off - striptease classics, the las vagas grind series, and any swing or david rose cd!!

If it is the song that Millie said, Missy Malone already does an act to this.

does she? i used to use it but have dropped that routine, but i think she just wants the song, not for performing with! some people just listen to music apparantly...!

Oh...no i want to use it for acts and i think i would like to use it for teaching my beginner class.
Is this a problem? I've already seen two acts on you tube to this song. I'm against copying acts, but isn't music a different story? how many people have danced to The Stripper?

At the end of the day, what people choose to perform to is their own business. No performer has a divine right to the exclusive use of any song...

Having said that, I do know that a lot of performers do get pissed off when it's perceived that people are copying their music...

But having said that, I don't think you'll have a problem with Missy!

and as i said on the other post, beatrix von bourbon used it last year at one of the first house of the golden lotus'

but it's an awesome song... i wanted to use a particular song that i then realised diva hollywood used, so i searched for a different version and ended up loving the new one more!

have fun researching, i love finding music
