Hey hunny,
I cant offer you any advice as i shall be leaving the stage in the next few months to have my baby, but i too have been feeling nervous about getting back up there afterwards.
Personally I'm gonna start off witha few shows i have done before where i know the audience so i can ease back into it gently....Don't Be Fooled By The Sweetness and Light......

Hello there, i had my daughter xmas eve 2008 and went straight into burlesque in january 2009, i went from a size 12 to a size 18!!!
i know how your feeling hun,
i still have a wee jelly belly but i just wear knickers that cover the bottom bit, i think that only me knows ive had a baby and no one in the crowd does so im not that bothered by it,
for stretch marks, (luckily im one of a few to only recieve minimal ones) i just use a thick matt foundation and it covers them fine, plus once again its only you onstage that knows you have them, i bet 9/10 the audience will not notice them
if you have lots on your belly underbust corsets i think are the way to go, you dont have to remove them if you dont want too, all mine are mainly inside my legs, so i just wear tights, and no one notices
for things like fan dances i just got a skin coloured leotard and spent about £40 sticking rhinestones to it!!.....now im finally happy with my shape, i will wear pasties instead....
hope ive helped a lil, dont get used to your body shape, my has constantly changed over the year! so dont spent too much on it xx

having a baby does change you dramatically...and not just physically!!! you may find you just arent the same person afterwards and that your life in general has altered but you can turn it to your advantageand use your experience to bring new strengths and maturity to your performance...its all just part of the learning curve that is life...its taken having my two youngest children to get me to the point of actually doing something for myself and signingup for classes...just use your nerves to make you stronger , after all you are a mum so you can do just about darned near anything!!!! all the best. xxx

Ive loved burlesque for ages, But i never had the confidence to perform till AFTER i had my kids.. so here i am at 28 with 3 kids starting my burlie performing journey!!
Ok so im not the size 8 i was but i feel more comfortable in my own skin then i ever had!!
I think the trick is 2 accept you body will change... but hey ... its not all bad.. thanx 2 my kids i now have a great rack that makes me feel more of a woman not less!!!
So in closing.. Dnt worry about it.. love any extra bits u might have after ..Dont stress .. n b proud of the fact you have now joined the ranks of the YUMMY MUMMY!!!!

I'm kind of in the same situation too Ruby. I had a beautiful baby boy 4 months ago, I've already got my pre-pregnancy weight back but have a few extra bumps and lumps that weren't there before. Also my boobs have changed so much I have to try not to cry when I think about it. Oh and stretch marks

Part of my "act" was a hoola hoop dance but with my new curves (love handles) I can't keep the bloody thing up!! Haha
I don't really know how to get that confidence I had before back.
My partner says he loved my body more now than he did before, because my bum and boobs are bigger, but I miss my old body and can't seem to love this one quite as much.
When I watch burlesque, or go through my wardrobe of sequins and feathers, it makes me feel sexy enough to practice for myself but I can't even entertain the idea of performing for others now.
I need help too.

Your Opinion please....
Hi honey I think an exhibition would be a great idea maybe in a smaller gallery. To go along with...
