[QUOTE=Glorian Gray;112116]However, I began to notice a pattern wherein they were super nice to me when new and getting information off me, and once they had done a few gigs, hanging out with "bigger fish" they went sort of cold, a bit aloof, sometimes even making little putty downy comments etc. This always hurt and puzzled me! I wasnt sure if it was because they were trying to assert their new importance by being off with someone who had seen them when they were new, or what.QUOTE]
Thats how I see it. Anyway perhaps its best to vent and let go. I know who it is so now know to avoid them abit.

I recommended this person for a job to a promoter and they were shocked I did so. They showed me what this person had sent to them about me. Now I can take criticism but this was pretty much trash Khandie. I guess the promoter shouldnt have showed me but felt strong enough that I should see.
As for the recommended by me thing...I am a tiny fish in a huge ocean so I guess being recommended by me is like being recommended what colour to paint my walls by my dad (100% colour blind!)

I just wanted to add - please don't change Khandie!
You are such a lovely person and a true breath of fresh air in a sometimes cutthroat world.

I have to agree with Ditzy - it would be a much horribler (waits for the grammar police to show up) world if we weren't nice to newbies and each other.
I think it's fair enough to ask about other shows, but there's a huge difference between someone asking for names of other good shows to try and contact and someone who thinks they deserve spoon-feeding 'phone numbers, email addresses etc and can't be bothered to get their finger out and do some research themselves like everyone else does.
Unfortunately there are those who are just on the make and are ridiculously nice to your face until they get what they want (I can instantly think of a couple), but we shouldn't become all cagey and protective with everyone else because of some bad eggs.....their time will deffo come....and networking and making friends and contacts in this community is one of the things that makes it such a wonderful place to be.
(Resisting the urge to ask Khandie who the naughty naughty person is....I'm missing out on all the good gossip being over the pond

I have to say its the one thing I absolutely detest about this business.
It's not needed.
I mean don't get me wrong - we can all feel jealousy at someone else expense. But it doesn't mean you have to poop on someone elses parade just cos you're green. Just improve your own game and you're sorted!Miss Amanda Mae Voodoo
