Default Beatrix's Milkshake Act on MOB TV

View it on MOB TV (where you can find full info on the act): Ministry Of Burlesque Community - Beatrix Von Bourbon: Milkshake

Those of you who follow me on Twitter (http://twitter.com/vonbourbon) will already know that I had a lot of trouble with this prop - namely I had to use it in the show before it was finished to the standard I'd had in mind.

The glass is currently in transit back to the UK. It will be repainted (adding a LOT of shading) by the original prop makers in mid March 2010. I'm then getting new promo shots taken, some of which are *hopefully* bound for a new book about burlesque...

Is that you singing Bea? Daring, I like it.

I LOVE the way you whipped that skirt off - and the blink-and-you'll-miss-it bra removal was fabulous!

'tis me. It was the brainchild of Willi Widder Nix and our director, Ralph Sun. It was absolutely terrifying, but also quite liberating. I'm not sure I could SING a song on stage, but half-speaking, half-singing is doable now

The bra removal was supposed to be a quick change, but occasionally my confetti-drop mechanism got a bit jammed and the glitter-curtain didn't fall in a way that permitted my movements to be fully concealed. You win some, you lose some.

I can imagine ... I'm one of those who can get my kit off onstage no problem, but ask me to sing and I'll bottle it. I admire you for trying something intimidating and managing to pull it off!

Yay! This act was great live, but it is the catchiest song known to man! I still find myself singing it from time to time!

Keen to hear more on this book Bea ;-)
