I'm just wondering, which perfomers you find most inspirational?
What about film stars and music?

Im off work ill at the moment so entertain me

I love Beatrix von Bourbon. Especially winter and voodoo cafe. She is my fave at the moment

Performance wise - Lalla Morte and Missy Macabre do it for me everytime and I love watching their shows.
Art wise Adele Elizabeth of Analogue Heart
Film stars - Bette Davies and Mae West.
Musically - Bjork and Grace Jones.
General atmosphere wise David Lynch and John Waters.
Anything that really makes me think or has attitude. I also love people who challenge the norm of what is beautiful. Beauty is more than just a pretty face and a nice dress and all of the women I've mentioned have been real WOMEN. They had balls as well as grace and style.
They have not been afraid to speak their mind even when it didn't always work in their favour and I always admire that in anyone

That being said, i'm inspiried by anything and everything. From old timey radio dramas, film noir, vaudeville, side show freaks and geeks, fantasies, history, art, all kinds of music! The list is endless... i think burlesque 24/7...a stapler at the office might inspire me if i stare at it long enough It is a gift and a curse!

Also being part of a community with so many talented, creative and wonderful people helps

music in general from the 20s through to the late 50s...some 60s but pretty much nothing after that...

inspirational people to me are individuals who are true to themselves in all walks of life and dont change to fit in with other peoples ideals or stereotypes...

Missy Malone, Anna Fur Laxis, Vicky Butterfly... Bettie Page, everyone in the movie of Chicago, Satine off of Moulin Rouge... the list goes on! x

Missy Malone is wonderful. I love the glamour of Immodesty Blaize and Dita von Teese. I love Ginger Rogers at the moment.
I have been finding Lady Gaga really inspirational. She is mad but really brave and always pushing boundaries- I like that,

I am inspired a lot by Bettie Page (of course), Theda Bara, Vampira, Dita Von Teese, Marilyn Monroe and more. I am also very inspired by Elizabeth Short (the Black Dahlia)...although she met a very tragic fate and never got to realize her dream of being a movie star, I find her haunting beauty to be an inspiration. Musically, rock 'n roll and rock stars inspire me...too many to get into here!
