I am a Burlesque newbie! My name is Merri Mischief and I am in Durham and I am eager to get more involved in the Burlesque world.

I am taking Burlesque dance lessons at present and am loving it!

Purdy Gore : I have been going to burlesque dance classes. I made up a routine, but I do not really know how to get to perform it. I live in Durham, so I guess I am not in a Burlesque Hot Spot. I would love to start performing though...

Duchess Silk: I have always loved the Can Can and have been fascinated with corsets and gorgeous underwear. when my local paper did a story on a lady who teaches burlesque, I contacted her and signed up on the course. She is fantastic! I would really loved to get more involved in performing, even though I know I have a HUGE amount to learn.
PS... The Highwayman is my favourite poem!

ahh that's cool, good luck with it, it's so hard making up routines!
I'm not really sure what kind of events there are up north but keep a watch on here cos its all really clear as to what events are on, there's always loads of posts! x
