Thread: Woohoo i got techie...

Well folks...with the able support of a techy minded chum i have put together my first bash at a website... any feedback would be appreciated...lots more input to go into it at a later date with more photos, vids, etc...

I'm not keen on the layout if I'm being completely honest. Have you tried something like blogspot? Wordpress? You can get millions of free templates that would make the layout seem more professional. I think its the white background that mostly puts me off.

no thats not too honest chick, like i said all feedback is much appreciated...with me its like feeling my way in the dark, hell i canbarely work my mobile phone!

I think you should change the font. Comic sans makes any website look amateurish. It's amazing how much difference your choice of font can make.

On your menu, the 'Contact Me' option appears to have a full stop but the other menu options don't?

The spacing and alignment of the text on the home page looks a bit odd. Try fully justifying it perhaps?

You also repeat the use of ellipsis (...). It's more effective used just the once in such a short bit of text.

I think when you have more images (the ones up there are very dark and quite hard to make out), the pages will be much more eye-catching. In fact why not use your MoB avatar on the home page?

I like that your information is to-the-point and honest (you refer to yourself as new) - it's rare to see this and makes you an attractive newcomer to keep tabs on.

A nice starting point - just keep playing with Wordpress, gather more striking images and the like and you'll create something really special.

oooh check you out, im impressed it looks nnice, i wouldnt have a clue where to start! at least you have the base for it, anything you do now will make it look even better. the butterflies are a nice touch, but i wouldnt have put you down as a butterfly girls, if you are ww2 inspired how about decorating the page with themed borders/pictures?
