You've made a hell of an impression in your short time performing, and you should be so proud. Don't withdraw the chance for other folk to see your routines, as you'd be selling yourself and the burly world short.
Simples!

Hi there,
I'm sorry that I've never seen you perform, but i've read a lot of your posts on MoB. You are an inspiration to others and if your performances are anything like as lively and interesting as your posts (and i'm sure they will be), Iolair is right - you will be depriving the burly world of a star.

I echo that. I wish I could find something more uplifting to say, but it's true -you are always on hand with words of wisdom for others.
Hopefully this is just a temporary crisis. You are such a beautiful lady and I think you should look yourself in the mirror, tell yourself you are gorgeous and give yourself a big kiss! (works for me!)
You are an amazing lady ...

I had to take a break from performing due to 2010 being the year that everything non-burlesque suddenly kicked off, and it helped me enormously. Sometimes you need a time out to give you a chance to re-discover the spark. I'm now really enthusiastic again (and have got some amazing gig's coming up I'm sure I wouldn't have if I'd not taken the time away).

maybe you need to revisit what made you enthusiastic about burlesque in the first place? I felt disheartened after being involved with a show this year and felt out of the loop, but after a visit to the Ringside in Hull I'm back on obsessing over pasties and corsets! Perhaps maybe going to a show as an audience member and remembering why you love burlesque so much will help? I hope you find your spark again!
I am not domestic, I am a luxury, and in that sense, necessary.

Hey Mrs, if it wasn't for your fantastic first solo debut at Movers&Shakers and your words of wisdom backstage, I may never have had the confidence to try and choreograph a routine.
I know you have many more routines up your sleeve and I for one am desperate to see them. Sometimes, when you have been soaring on a high, you will get a little low but only to ground you before taking off searching for that high again - at least that's how it is with me.
We all believe in you - you have a genuine talent and you are darned good fun too... missed you last week.
Take care, take time and find that positivity. You CAN do it

Sorry to hear you're going through this, I'm going through the same thing myself to the point where I want to run away from society and live in a hole like the bony little man in that monty python film.
If it helps some, the thing that is keeping me going is hearing the music for my act or looking at photos of the character and it makes me think how much I want to do it for the chance to let her out for a bit. Look at all you've done, how others have responded to it and how it would feel to stop being your alter ego and believe in yourself.

fuck 'em. do your best and fuck the rest!
go big or go home! that's my motto!! i'm located in the midwest USA where, if it's not funny or automatically likeable, things don't fly. basically, here, sadly, traditional classical burlesque doesn't fly here in Smalltown, USA... so, to conquer that, we've learned to go big or go home! our shows are comical and prop heavy, if nothing else. i've learned to rely on my whits and humor here, rather than sex appeal. sadly, here in the midwest, if people want sex appeal, they will go to "the crazy horse strip club" or "illusions strip club"... i rely on the humor of burlesque to win audiences...
our last show had us as a troop performing 2 dances: one classical and one neoclassical. the neoclassical ones far out shined the classical ones, sadly enough. people here want a gimmick. and as much as i hate it, i'll give them a gimmick if they want it! i'm not a skinny traditional porno website slut. i'll give what i've got: whits and talent! give 'em what you've got, sweetheart!
