Thread: my new acts

I've put together some mini cabarets, each with different themes. They are about 3 songs long each. Let me know what you think

Smokey Jazz:
A cabaret consisting of sultry jazz favorites such as 'fever' and the likes of. Picture Jessica Rabbit/Cameron Diaz in The Mask etc.

Life is a Cabaret:
Consisting of popular Cabaret hits from the musicals Cabaret, Chicago and Sweet Charity.

Moulin Rouge:
Sparkly outfits and songs from the hit film such as 'Diamonds are a girl's best friend' and 'One day i'll fly away'.

Vintage:
Songs to take you back to a by gone era, by artists such as Ella Fitzgerald and Peggy Lee. Complete with Vintage outfits and accessories.

gotta love peggy lee. i do an act to "big spender" by her for one of my acts. she also was the original singer of "why dont you do right" which is the song jessica rabbit sings. x

Big Spender is one of my songs in my 'life is a cabaret act' and 'why don't you do right' is one of my options for the 'smokey jazz' section, both great songs I love Peggy Lee. 'He's a Tramp' is one of the songs for the 'Vintage' cabaret and of course 'Fever' is another great one of hers....Heck I should just do a Peggy Lee Tribute! ha ha. xx

This set will surely go down a storm at the right events! I know I for one would love it I hosted a charity burlesque event in June entitled Life is a Cabaret & my compere opened the evening with a three-song set of similar show tunes & it set the tone of the show so wonderfully. The audience loved it at Life is a Cabaret & I'm sure they'll love your Life is a Cabaret set at whichever events you perform it at.
