New Photography Studio in London
Just thought I'd put up a quick post to let you know that after two months of planning and preparation, my new burlesque and cabaret photography studio celebrated its official launch yesterday with a brand new website! As well as information on the new location and prices, there is also now an opportunity to list your events for free on the site, so please do visit the website and pass on details about your shows - the more listings the better!

Forgive me for having a dirty mind, but just wondering why given that you only purchased your first digital camera in 2008 ( as stated in the 'About' section of your website) you feature 2 shots of Dita von Tease in the iHome Page of your website, one of which is the cover image from her book which was published in 2006?
And why therefore all the images on your website are credited as your own copy-right, dating from 2011?
Doesn't make sense..... Happy to be corrected......

Hi Viva,
Thanks for your comments. That first shot of Dita with her 2006 book was taken in November 2010 at her book signing at the Erotica Festival at Olympia in London, I've included a link to my blog post where I mentioned this on the site. The second photo you claim to be Dita is actually Missy Fatale and was shot about a month ago in my studio.
As for the copyright dates, most of the images actually were taken in 2011 - obviously my photography has improved considerably over my short career and therefore putting up my best work would mean my more recent work. There is only one other photo in the portfolio that was taken in 2010, which is Joe Black, however copyright laws state that artistic copyright dates from moment of creation until 70 years after I die, so technically they are all ©2011, 2012, 2013 and so on...
I hope that clears up your dirty mind!

Hi Tigz,
A nice website and some lovely photos too
We have shows on the go all over but do please put a link to Ministry of Burlesque on if there is space.
On this page you mention Banbury's Ballroom
Banbury
- where is this? It's had me scratching my head all morning! I thought maybe it was the Bloomsbury Ballroom but it doesn't look like it.
I LOVE the look of HP Lovebox - will be doing some research on him...

That would be great Kittie, I'll try and get a link up for you by the end of the day. And it is indeed the Bloomsbury Ballroom - but I don't think its the one in Holborn that you're thinking of. Its another venue in London.
How AMAZING is HP Lovebox? I only came across him a couple of weeks ago. Fabulous!

It's now clean as a whistle! Thanks for clearing this up for me.
Bit sensitive at the moment : someone who came and did some hand-sewing for me last year on a work placement from college has posted pictures of the frocks we made on her website claiming them as all her own work. No idea where I stand on the issue : I cut and oversaw all apsects of making of the costume, but the original design was by someone else. The pictures are just snaps taken at the theatre on her mobile. Presumably the photo copyright is hers, but the costume was my creation. albeit an interpretation of someone elses' design. Any idea how this works?
