Dita sues Erotica
It appears Dita has filed a law suit against Erotica for only paying her half her fee for last years shows. Allegedly she was due to be paid £25,000 but only received the first half shortly after signing her contract. No money after, and no contact...

I hope there's some explainable reason for it, though I don't see how there could be. How unprofessional! I wouldn't be too happy to perform there after knowing they don't honour contracts.
On a side note, if I was Dita, I would rather keep my fees under wraps. I don't like everyone to know what I earn.

Erotica
Erotica's behaviour really doesn't surprise me at all. What does is the fact that they really have no idea on how many people Dita will have brought to the show over the last two years. It will certainly be a less glamorous affair in 2008!

I agree she was amazing last year. That was really the only reason a lot of people went. They must have earnt an absolute fortune from Erotica this past two years easily, the tickets started from £17 right up to £50 (bugger all difference in what you actually got for that cost though!) so £25k must be pocket change to them!
They've put the tickets up to £20+ this year so I'm really not sure whether I'm going to go or not unless they manage to pull something spectacular out of their hats! When I commented on the rising cost of tickets on their forum I was told that the cost increase will be justified but they're not announcing why yet.
Mmmmm. Still can't believe Dita got paid that much though, she must have made a fair bit on book sales there as well.

Bleurgh, the last time I went to Erotica must have been in 2003, and even then it had lost a lot of interest for me.
I find it so suburban now...actually, Torture Garden seems to be slipping down that track too.
Time was, the club was full of wonderful and exotic creatures. Nowadays you see so many more suburban couples out for a cheap peek at foxy fetishists...and loads of rather chavvy looking types in just their bra and pants...I mean please...make an effort! They shouldn't be allowed entrance!

Ha ha I agree totally! Last year was the first time I'd actually been able to go and it was rather a let down in the end. Everyone seemed to be in jeans and wandering around looking sheepish or there was a few rather weird old blokes in flasher macs *shudder*. At least I made the effort to dress up properly!
