Thread: wanting to perform... HELP PLEASE!

hello everyone,

Im a young female illusionist looking to become a burlesque performer. I have experience in performing arts and have had plenty of practise taking off my clothes but never done it on stage before. Im living in leeds at the moment but im happy to travel far distances, so if anyone knows someone or somewhere that could point me in the right direction i would be very gratefull.

Hey hun! You can come do a showcase/practice slot at North West Burlesque? We are the longest established burlesque society in the UK, based in Manchester. Its a great space to practice a routine, get your burly debut out the way in a supportive environment, meet performers and promoters etc. The dates of the next meetings (once a month on Sundays) are on the website, also the email to contact if you want to perform The North West Burlesque Society - Welcome to the NWBS. Leeds also has the Yorkshire BAPS society, I am not sure when this runs now as I think it is less frequent than it was. You could do both, would be a great way to meet people who could help you get further gigs.

aww everyones been very kind. i need to get some practice and a routine set up first. any routine ideas ladies? i was thinking a marie antoinette themed strip... x
