    Yeah,

Do you know what. The whole belly dancing community is so conservative and polite.

She is just loud, brash and mostly inappropriate but just totally adorable.

Excellent performer and very, very good instructor. She does burlesque workshops when she comes over, too.

Do you know she got the Red Hot Chilli Peppers their first gig?

She knows loads of celebs in Hollywood!

    Wow
she was just one of those women that you immediately wanted to talk to. It started cos she really liked my hat and funnily enough the woman who had made my hat Trilby was standing right beside me so I was able to introduce them. I would love to do a workshop with her but she is only in the UK till Sunday my friend Lily Dumont had told me so much about her that it was a pleasure to meet her.

I met her on Tuesday for a Tassel Time interview and despite being jetlagged she was a fantastic guest! She is a very funny lady and she knows what she is talking about.

We walked over to her friends flat where she was staying and she gave me a DVD copy of the documentary she is over here to promote "Underbelly".

It'd fantastic you should check it out and the interview will be on its way soon!

Great. I'll look out for it. I've never used a Podcast before, what do I have to do? Is it video or just audio?

Does she come from a bellydance background?

I only ask because I saw her in a lot of belly/oriental dance type gear, and since I studied middle eastern dance for a couple of years, I found the crowd in that scene to be really cute and humble, with a wicked sense of humour. There seems to be less cattiness sometimes than in other forms of contemporary dance, like Burlesque, it's very much led by women and supportive.
