Thread: Doing it in my knickers!

There have been so many 'First Time' experiences posted on this forum. And I have empathised with each and everyone. I post on this burlesque site because I simply love burlesque in all it's guises as well as loving you lot , and now the smoking ban has been legislated, I can, and do, get to more events.
But my first love is Latin & Ballroom, with a little Rock 'N' Roll on the side, just for good measure. For Rock and Roll, read Lindy, Jitterbug, Swing and just about every jive variation in between.
I share this anecdote with you because I am about to fly off to Fort Lauderdale FL. where my other half and I will be joining a dance troupe that will be going on a couple of cruises with the Carnival Cruise Co.
So now I have a 'First Time,' and I am absolutely shitting myself, but seriously excited too.
We shall not only be dancing as a group, but we will be expected to engage with the ship's tourists, encourage them to participate, and in the day time, give dance lessons. So you lovely lot, I am going to miss you, see you sometime in May...............but don't be surprised if you find the witch making a posting or two, if there is a computer with internet access, I try to stay in lurker's corner, but it never works out that way, the addiction is far too strong.

Wow Broomy, that sounds like it will be a fab experience! Being able to do what you love for your living, and travelling into the bargain - does it get much better than that? In my day job I'm often encouraged to go on the cruise ships for similar experiences, but I can't face the idea of being in the role all day every day, so I must say I also admire your determination to do it. Good luck with it all although I'm sure you won't need it ^_^

I've been rooting for you on this one since day one. I can only imagine how much you are shitting yourself lol, but what an amazing time you are about to have! Make the most of every minute, and we'll be waiting to hear all about it when you return
