Talking Burlesque is 'talentless' and 'harmful' - Miles Copeland

I thought some of you may be interested to read this recent article by Miles Copeland (ex-Beatles/Sting manager) in which he gives his opinion on Burlesque and Belly Dance being coupled in the Shimmy Shake Show on Sunday night. In the article, he offers such pearls of wisdom as:

'As it is traditionally understood, I do not find Burlesque, (meaning nudity—no matter how hard one pretends it does not) amusing or creative in the slightest when it comes to including bellydance, an art that has suffered too long with such unfortunate associations. I find it completely irresponsible and detrimental.'

It's quite an interesting read, it made me laugh!

Miles views on maintaining a positive image for the Gilded Serpent

We will be spoofing Miles at Sunday's Shimmy Shake show at Madame JoJo's, hope to see you there!

I disagree, but then I'm guessing most people here will!

But hey, even if he was right - it's bloody good fun, enterains a lot of people and has been around a lot longer than him - so he can $£%* OFF!
