Upcoming New Features On MoB...
The latest version of the site (to be launched at the weekend) is the biggest upgrade ever and now MoB is more feature-packed than ever before. Here's a rundown of the new stuff that you'll find on MoB.
Redesigned Homepage
The main sections of the site now appear in a nice tabbed interface. This will allow you to easily flick through the latest goings on without needing to click to other parts of the site.
Upgraded Events Section
As well as showing ALL the burlesque events (with direct links to each) for the next seven days, the calendar section is now much tidier and it's much easier to post events.
Facebook-Style Social Groups
Create your own group or fan club, complete with its own dedicated gallery, message wall and forum (your group requires at least 10 members before you can run your own forum). The owner of the social group is fully in charge of his group and is able to fully moderate its forum and directly email its members... just like Facebook.
Upgraded Photo Albums
The new member photo albums are much easier to use than they were before and each photo now appears with a handy link that you can use to easily paste the image onto the MoB (or any other forums). You can easily create an unlimited number of albums, upload an unlimited number of photos into each and copy your photos into social group galleries with just a couple of clicks.
New Videos Section
Not only have we finally managed to permanently syncronise the MoB YouTube account with the site, but we've also made it so that pretty much every burlesque related video on YouTube can be viewed through MoB too.
Member Map
An interactive world map of our members which can be scrolled, zoomed and generally fiddled about with!
Upgraded Profile Pages
Each member now has a much better profile page. As well as your information being sorted into a nice, easy-to-use tabbed structure, you can easily add a video showreel (from Youtube) to your profile page too. Your friends can even leave comments on your profile - just like MySpace. If that wasn't enough, we've got a MySpace/Facebook-style friends list and your profile now shows your latest photo albums and your burlesque pet.
Battle Of Burlesque
Which brings me very nicely onto our new Battle Of Burlesque game! You'll now be able to create and train your very own burlesque performing pet. Hatch him from an egg and make sure that it's fed, watered and given burlesque lessons in order to increase its stats. You can face-off your performing pet against other members pets and even buy/sell performing pets in the virtual talent agency. But that's not all. You can set up your own burlesque club and invite your friends to join up and face-off against rival burlesque clubs!
Upgraded Search
Now clicking on the 'Search' link in the navbar will let you search the entire site from just one place. No more clicking through to different sections of the site to find what you need, find forum posts, new posts, social group updates, videos and members immediately.
Support Ticket System
We've implemented a new customer support system so that you can easily open and track any issues that you may have. Users can now change their own usernames (subject to approval) without needing to contact us.
I'm also thinking of adding a blogging feature to the site, but I'm in two minds about this because I'm not sure how often it would be used. I've created a poll for this so I can get peoples opinions on the matter.WARNINGWarning: This is an Old Thread

Hmmm, I'm not going to vote in your poll, because I'm not sure whether I'd use it or not. As my myspace friends may know, I do make extensive use of the blog on there, and don't see the point of duplicating posts into a different system. However, if there was a blog system on MoB, I might well use it in a shortened form. So, if it was there, I'd use it, and if it wasn't, I wouldn't miss it ...

Sounds Awesome! I'd totally take advantage of the blog option... Oh, and the bizarro burlesque pet?

If I am absolutely honest, I would put my hand on my heart and say:
"WTF is a blog?"
But if you were to reinstate that "Attach File" thingy, then you would certainly float my boat, I could post loads of my dance stills, as well as some fabulous burly shots. I've been getting out and about since the prohibition of the evil weed.

It's like an online diary. Check out The MoBFather’s Den Of Iniquity for an example.
The attach file thingy will be back in the next version, complete with a sexy new way of displaying attached photos! You'll like it, I promise!

I don't think I'd use a blog at all... I don't have anything too exciting to tell here (nothing that's relevant to you anyway - I have some VERY exciting news about what my best friend's cousin said about her boyfriend last weekend). Reviews of shows, exciting news (should it occur), fashion dilemmas, etc. are what we discuss here, pretty much, so I don't see the need for it.

That sounds like a great list of improvements/tweaks. A blog is a very good idea, i'm sure many of us have weird and wonderful stories to tell.

Okay, the good news is that everything is on schedule to upgrade the site late tonight, starting at about 12am (midnight).
The upgrade process is expected to take about 12 hours (like I said, it's a big upgrade) and during this time, the site will be innaccessible, so you've all got an excuse to have an extended Saturday morning lie-in!
I've decided not to add a blogging feature at this time though!

please excuse me as I am a bear of very small brain and I'm having a little difficulty at the mo getting my head round the new site (I don't fear change, it just unnerves me)....but....is there still a button somewhere I can click on somewhere that can show me thread updates since I last logged in, because at the moment I can't find it and I'm having difficulty working my way through all the threads on the homepage?
and I'm very glum at having being relieved of my sparkling glitter pasties and now being called a member....
(sorry, I'm sure I'll get used to the changes soon enough, but I loved my pasties)
