Talented Animals
Did anyone see Miss Immodesty Blaize in the Independant paper on Sunday and her wee little pooch who collects her stockings from the stage?
I must admit, I have often thought it would be wonderful if my border collie could accompany me in a burlesque act - he's very good - sometimes! I'd pop a Shakespearean collar on him - he'd look very dignified and get him to spin in circles, jump over my legs as I did kicks and catch my clothing in his mouth as they fell off and walk on his back legs - he can jump up and down like that - maybe if I attached pasties to his chest, he could tassle twirl? I'd just need to make sure I had strong smelling cheese to keep him under control - he will do anything for cheese!
Does anyone else have talented animals who could support a burlesque act?WARNINGWarning: This is an Old Thread

Unfortunately my answer has to be a flat no. Reef, the jack cross would find the comfiest spot so curl up and sleep in, probably on top of all my stripped off clothing and Alex the terrier cross would, well, be a terrier. And god forbid anyone in the audience turning up with food!

If anyone turned up with a squeaky toy, my border collie would be off! No loyalty whatsoever - squeaky toy or kitten kapers - squeaky toy or kitten kapers - squeaky toy would win - easily!!!!
