DG's Favourite Ads
Not a strictly Burlesque post and how shocking coming from a moderator too but it's the weekend I'm bored and scouting you tube and have come across these adverts that I have very fond memories of:
The Rolo Elephant ad, a classic:
YouTube - Rolo candy TV Commercial funny
The Judderman, just downright brillant:
YouTube - Metz Judderman
A recent O2 ad, I think it's just magical:
YouTube - 02 TV advert 2008
And finally the most gentlemanly advert ever:
YouTube - Wimbledon Diet Coke ad
Enjoy!

You forgot the best advert of the moment:
YouTube - Drench advert-Fuel your brain!!!
Can't get enough of that one!

Not bad, not bad, but my favourite has always been the office girls perving the construction worker in the legendry: Diet Coke Break
YouTube - Diet Coke-Diet Coke Break
And who can forget Cadbury's gorilla?
YouTube - Cadbury's Gorilla Advert Aug 31st 2007
Have you ever seen the spoof version, where the gorilla goes apeshit on set? Brilliant.
YouTube - Cadbury Gorilla goes ape on set!
But my favourite advert, ever, got banned: What a load of bollocks:
YouTube - VW banned tv commercial Bollocks

Don't forget:
Youtube - Boddington's Gondoliers
and

I'm loving the "bollocks" ad, especially when she drops the ice cream.
My recent fave almost purely for the music:
YouTube - Astra
But I used to love those cartoon public service announcements with the cat. I remember one about crossing the road and one about swimming and how "Dave"? was so good at it.
Not found any links online yet, sorry.

This is my favourite advert ever! And it actually worked- me and my housemate will only drink R Whites lemonade!

<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/JqBa7eay6Fo&hl=en"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/JqBa7eay6Fo&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Ooh and:
<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/I8CTscW3dpI&hl=en"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/I8CTscW3dpI&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Apparantly the woman felt really really ill filming it, and had to keep stopping to be sick
And, just to show that my favourite adverts aren't all from before I was born, who could forget this classic?:

Ok so something went wrong with the links, computers aren't my strongest point.
1. R Whites Lemonade ad
2. Shake n Vac
3. Frosties- "They're gonna taste great.."
That was easier

My dog goes crazy and barks when the puppet dog on the Churchill advert says, "Oh, yessss" - if he's tucked in his hidey hole - he leaps out, grabs a toy, and then shakes it whilst spinning in circles. I just said, "Oh, yessss" just then and he's now having a funny five!!!d

Would that be Charley by any chance?

The ones with the cat as Fleur rightly says were the 'Charley says...' series
But the swimming one you mean has Mike who swims like a fish (and looked like my brother) and Dave who says swimming isn't his scene - a fantastic advert:
Learn to swim young man... learn to swim
(Thanks youtube for pointing out this was 1973...and hence showing my age big time)
but whilst we're on public info. films - don't forget the stars that were Joe and Petunia - Joe and Petunia Country Code
