Default Yes I am having trouble sleeping thank you ;)

Gah, it's 3:30am, I have to catch a train for a very very important meeting at 6:30am and I've been up for hours already but still no sleep.

I slept for two hours last night, five hours the night before and just didn't bother on Wednesday.

So I'm playing on kongregate till i fall asleep at my desk. It was my partner's birthday so he's collapsed in bed after drinking his bodyweight in captain morgans and for some weird reason the house is boiling hot...

    Hmm...

I'll probably be up for awhile so any tips of sleeping would be greatly recieved; already tried hot milk, bath, reading, counting, stretching, listening to music. I daren't take a sedative incase I miss my train.

I know we used to have some MOB night owls, anyone care to join me for a late night ramble?

    xx

Awww so sorry Amelie, I've been here since midnight - but since there was no one around at 3ish I assumed there wouldn't be anyone later and I stopped lurking! If I'd have known you were here I'd have chatted with you >_<

No tips on sleeping from me, I'm afraid, I have terrible insomnia. I've tried most things including prescribed sleeping pills, all to no avail. All I can advise is that when you feel the need to sleep, just sleep. You should get sleep whenever you need it (unless it's really inconvenient) and hopefully you'll pick up some nice rebound sleep too ^_^

My advice is buy a TV - nothing puts me to sleep faster than Reality TV!

As for not sleeping - Angel is a natural at insomnia, she's hardly slept since being a teenager. Sometimes I marvel at the fact she is asleep, then I creep around the house so as not to disturb her - it's such a rarity.

I struggle a lot with sleep too. Its annoying because I can never sleep in on a morning either so I never catch up on missed sleep! My Grandma reckons going for a long walk and eating a stick of celery before bed! Hope you find something that works

Eating a stick of celery? I've never heard that one!

They say that Lavender helps but I was COATED in lavender last night and found it much harder to sleep than I normally do. Maybe I'm just backwards...

I barely slept last night either, I'm mysteriously ill:worried:

Apparently reading slows you down so it's a good thing to do before bed, where watching tv keeps you more alert xx

Strong lavender smell only irritates me, warm milk with honey shall help. But maybe not if you are not a fan of warm milk like me.
