Default If you could do anyones act which one would it be?

    Hi all
been in a very reflective mood all day and was wondering if you could do anyone act which one would you do and if you could choose anyone to do one of your acts which one would you ask them to do?
For me I would love to see Anna Fur Laxis do my' Evolution of woman' as I think she would make me laugh.
I would love to do Vicky Butterflies Butterfly act as its so far from my usual style and kind of act i think I would really enjoy it as it would be a challenge.
So my question is what act would you do and what act of yours would you like to see someone else do and why?
    love and hugs

I'd love to do Kitten De Ville's act because I love to shake and I love the way she really cuts loose in it. Awesome.
I know Missy's I Put a Spell on You fan dance by heart because I've seen it 100 times but I'm not as capable with those giant fans and just whack myself in the bake (that's Norn Irish for 'face') a lot.
And if I could do anything Dirty Martini does I'd be very happy.
I wish I could sing like Imelda May and I wish I was as comedic as *BOB* or Al Palooka.
As it is I have a pretty good time displaying my T&A. (Talent and Ability that is.)

    Oh I'm forgetting so many.
I'd love to twirl tassels like Fancy Chance or Tura Satana (who at 70 can still play drums with her tassels!) and I'd love to do Lucifire's fire tricks. I'm too wimpy for the hooks.
There are so many performers I admire - that's what makes this so great. You work with some people who are sheer dynamite.

But who would you like to see do one of your acts and why?
Good answers by the way and agree with you on so many of your choices.

I'd like to see Delilah Dufoe perform Angels "Unhappily Ever After". Delilah is one very talented performer who I expect will be performing a lot in the years to come, and she is so incredibly capable in the selling of an act. It's no suprise that we enjoy working with her so much, but Angel and I hope she one day outgrows our smaller scale events.

Sorry for the double post - my mind is whirring...

...I wonder what it would be like, running an event in which performers are performing the acts of other performers on the bill...

...I'm wondering if it could be workable, and I'm wishing I had the finances to stage it.

I have never done burlesque. There are far too many talented performers that would put me to shame if I tried. But I can do this:

I'd love to be able to do one of Marawa's routines. Her hula hooping is second to none and completely warps my mind!
I'd love to see Miss Amelie Soleil perform my Science Fiction: Doouble Feature, cos not only is the style totally different to what she normally does, but I know she can sing and she hides it from us all under the pretence she's not really that good, hmmmm... that old chesnut!

Mmm. I think it would be funny to see Lucky Strikes perform my mermaid routine. I would worry he'd do it better though.

I never, in reality, want to do anyone else's act and I never want to see anyone do one of mine. I think it is the combination of that particular performer and that particular routine that makes the magic in a successful performance.

It is very fun to think about. But I think I'd make a right mess up of the acts I mentioned if I actually tried to do them.

I have always thought it would be interesting as I know that Tigger, Darlinda and a few other New York performers did it. They swapped acts and also looks and played each other. I do not believe it would be a serious night but it could be a lot of fun and possible a challenge for us as performers. I just think it would be funny.
I agaree with Leyla that it is the performer that brings the magic to his or her act but I think others could do it.
I was watching a documentery about British B movies and lots of the older comics died younger ones brought there stage acts to TV, they were so close even how they moved there hands they where direct copies this is what got me thinking of this subject.
Also if because of my heath or for what ever reason I stopped performing I would not want my acts to stop with me who would I pass them onto.
See this is what happens when I have a weekend off to much time on my hands to think.
I did not know Miss Amelia could sing that little woman is a spring of Talent she really knocks me over.
