This applies to everyone.

Some of you may know that on saturday i had an insident with a taxt driver.
This wasn't in the city on the way to a venue,
Or on the way back home in flimsy attire on a drunken night out.

This was braud daylight in my home town.

Thanks to lulu spanks who convinced me to go to the police station the prick in question was placed in police custordy and has had his licence suspended.

But it got me thinking. I didn't take precations because it was a short ride with a company i had used before.

So here are some tips for keeping safe, please contribute if you have any.

Used marked taxi's don't be tempted to go for a car because it's there,
phone ahead.
Take a picture of the registration plate, and travel in the back.
If possible try to travel with a friend.
Don't share a cab with just anyone.

Keep an emergency stash of money that you never use in the back of your purse or wallet. So should the worst happen you always have change for a payphone or emergency travel.

Carry an alarm of some description with you at all times.

When you go to a new venue check the fire exits.
The same goes backstage.

If your cagey about the electrics in a place don't use the socket or get a member of staff to check it .

Have a brilliant night out, drink, smoke, and do whatever, just don't do it to exess,
You can get happily merry and still keep your wits about you.

Private hire cars and minicabs are not allowed to tout for business on the streets,so never get in one that does! Always phone the company and book in advance, making sure they have a contact name so you know they are the car you booked. If you try to flag down a cab, make sure it's a Hackney (a black cab or whatever standard colour they are in your city) and one with a licence a that. Always make note of the driver's number and whether they were a Hackney or private hire driver, in case you need to make a complaint afterwards (call the taxi licensing department of your local council, they are the ones with all the numbers on file and the powers to revoke licences). I used to work in taxi licensing, so I know how it all works to some extent.

Im fine honey, been threw worse and lived & feeling myself today.
I had support and have had loads of people checking up on me, Just want to send the caution message out to other folks.
The only way to stop a-holes like this is by talking about it and going to the police.

Glad the Police decided to do something to the arsehole - I remember the last thing you said to Angel after you left the Police Station was that they where only going to give him a caution.

Ah honey - Glad your ok and decided to do something about it.
Apart from all the other advice me and my friends if we ever have to leave one person in a taxi by themselves we ring them and stay on the phone till their in safe.

Heather darling, I didn't know. Your description of an incident is vague, do you mean that he made a sexual advance on you, like a grab at your breasts? That is appalling, a knee in the nads is not enough for that sort of pond life. String him up by the balls until they drop off, might think twice then before insinuating himself on an unsuspecting girl. I'm so cross. WTF does he think he's doing?
