Sounds fantastic! One that immediatly springs is Monster Mash, gotta good swing to it and when I saw it done live at Return to the Forbidden Planet there was plenty of shimmy opportunties!
YouTube - Halloween! - Bobby Pickett - Monster Mash - (HD Stereo) - the orginal is a bit slow actually!
Also from Forbidden Planet - Mr Spaceman by the Byrds:
YouTube - Hey, Mr. Spaceman by The Byrds
Ah, this is all going a bit Sci-Fi isn't it
ops: One last one then
YouTube - Star Wars Disco :duck:

wicked! Load up itunes or limewire and slap in as many words as you can think of like atomic, bomb, science, doctor etc etc
You can normally find free sound effects at Free Sound Effects, Royalty Free Sound Effects, Nature Sounds

If you were a chemistry lad scientist you could maybe use 'love potion number 9'?

Oooh, or if you were a space scientist (i forget what they are called) you could use 'Meteorite' by Zombina and the Skeletones

If you're planning on making it a bit cheesecakey, how about Science Fiction Double Feature from Rocky Horror? Or Chemistry by Semisonic?
