Thread: Burlesque Exhibition - a celebration of real women

Hi everyone,

As some of you may be aware, I am currently working on a Burlesque exhibition - a celebration of people who are all shapes, sizes, from different origins, ages etc.. but who all share one common theme - they all share a passion for Burlesque.

Each person who takes part in the exhibition will have a photo shoot in my studio in Birmingham where they will need to bring their own clothes, prepare their own hair & makeup - I dont have a set image I am looking for - my exhibition will be a celebration of Burlesque performers and their own take on what it means to them - it could be the comedy element, the seductiveness etc... I am hoping to capture as many different aspects as I can.

The final image to be used will be chosen by both myself and the performer - they must be comfortable with the image I use. It will be printed to A3 size, framed and included in the exhibition which will be completed towards the end of the year. Once I have got it underway (the shoots for the exhibition commence late July) I will be laising with local media, press etc. with a view to getting much wider coverage... selecting a few of the people in the exhibition to do this with me.

A plus side for the people in the exhibition is the offer of further work from people who will see them from the media coverage.

In return I am more than happy to let the individuals concerned have some full size shots, edited to agency standards, via cd and also have some professionally printed for you as a thank you for taking part.

In a nutshell... I really hope that as members/readers of this forum you would like to be in my exhibition.

If you would like to take part, you dont need any experience in modelling... although professional burlesque performers are very very welcome - please PM me.
