Favourite food??
Some of you, and I am impressed by your resolve, are vegetarians. Some even, vegans. I am an omnivore, but prefer to buy farm raised and slaughtered meat from local farm shops. Knowing an animal was raised, lived a full life on a free range, and slaughtered humanely, helps the lamb chop become a bit more agreeable.
Do you have a favourite food, or, are you more of a variety eater? Are you vegetarian but yearn for the burger with all the trimmings?
I adore sausages, even supermarket own brand, with all the left over offal and whatever, ground down to something disgusting and then pumped into a sausage skin. But my passion for sausages has been given the approval of St Deliah.

So, let me tell you, very much tongue in cheek, that the witch likes:

Chicken.
I love chicken and eat it nearly every day. When I'm at home it is free range as my 8 year old brother watched that Chicken Run programme and has refused to eat anything other than free range ever since. Bless him!
I've never tried the vegetarian thing. I understand why people do it, and good on them, but I absolutely love meat.
I also love Cadbury's Animals  I have a bit of a severe obsession with them.Snowflakes and Sparkles

Oh I eat anything (apart from bananas and tomato soup). Although I swing between being a foodie and a junk food addict :-) Crispy Pancakes, crisp buttys to homemade bread, rare steak and a fantastic risotto.
Try to stick to fairtrade, don't eat battery farmed animals/eggs and would rather eat vegetarian food then bad meat.
Couldn't be a vegetarian - none of the moral arguments hold sway with me. And one of my pet peeves is vegetarians who eat fish. Sorry but that isn't vegetarianism - it's piscerian. Mind you, it'd nor as bad as someone I used to know 'I'm a vegetarian as I don't eat beef or pinky meat. Pass the chicken'.
Don't have a problem with what anyone else eats or doesn't eat btw. Just don't take away my E numbers

That's one of my pet peeves too, because it really confuses people about 'proper' vegetarianism. Eat what you like, but don't use that label.
I am a veggie, for my own assorted and varied reasons, but wouldn't give anyone else a hard time about what they choose to have in their sandwich. Just wish people would use the labels properly, otherwise you sometimes end up have to ask the contents of something anyway, just to make sure their understanding of veggie is the same as yours. Anyway enough of that....
As such, my favourite food of the week is:-
HALLOUMI CHEESE!
One of the few decent veggie BBQ foods... :twothumbs:

I'm a vegetarian, and yes broomstick, I long for a burger with all the trimmings. Haha! I am a terribly vegetarian. The reason I don't eat meat is because I don't agree with animal health standards in Australia (though they are better then other places in the world), and I don't eat fish because I don't think enough is being done to protect our marine environments. When I am no longer a poor student (yeah, thatll be the day) I probably will start eating meat, because I will be able to afford organic and free range, but right now I can't afford it in the slightest. I don't think I'd eat meat out though, you don't know where its from.
And now to favourite foods.....
tofu (you can actually do a lot of things with it)
cheese (mmmmmm)
potatoes (mashed, roasted, boiled, potato bake, potato chips, spuds.....drool)
chocolate (thats a given)
pasta
cheese and brocolli pastries mmmmmm
and, though I hate to admit it, my Mums sausage rolls!!! (Its been years.....sob)

Mmmmm I am a total foodie. If I could, I would eat all day, every day. Self-restraint is a friend I need to visit more often. It doesn't help that I love cooking hehe.

I love asian food (thai, chinese, vietnamese etc.), I love Asparagus, Olives and Broccoli, veg and fruit in general.
Italian and Mexican food, but sometimes nothing can beat traditional german cooking and Bratwurst etc.
I have a healthy lifestyle mainly. But sometimes you need to treat yourself

I'm vegetarian but it's not much effort - I've been doing it since I was four! I do miss chicken though, and bacon... it's odd that I can remember what they're like ^-^
Favourite foods... I'd really fond of lasagne, and cheesecake as it happens ^-^ xx
