Does This Hurt Your Brain?!
http://www.ministryofburlesque.com/dogs.mp3
I originally downloaded this to get a rise out of Kitties mothers dog at the weekend. However it had much more of an effect on Kittie who was complaining of brain scramblage after it was played.

Ooh it doesn't bother me in the slightest. I have tinnitus anyway lol. Welcome to the inside of my head everyone, that pitch with more of a ringing tone (the voices are probably in there too)

Kittie's mum couldn't hear it and strangely enough, the dog didn't seem to be arsed in the slightest. The weird thing was that Kittie wasn't even in the room when I played it. She was upstairs at the time and I just heard Kittie yelling
"Aaaaargh! Turn it off! TURN IT OFF!"
from the ceiling!
I think I have found Kittie's achilles heel. If it wasn't for the fact that retribution would be swift and merciless, the possibilities for evil would be immense! You can now add video to your forum signatures by

I could hear it but it didn't bother me.
I'm quite sensitive to noises like that. In Winchester there is a house that has one of those to keep the cats away. No one else can hear it except me. I swear I'm not going madSnowflakes and Sparkles

Argh! That really really hurts! Feels like my eardrums are going to explode!
You're not going mad, it's because you're young and have sensitive hearing - it'll get less sensitive as you get older and you'll lose the ability to hear the very high frequencies. Or you should do, I haven't! I have a similar problem with the mosquito alarms - there was one in the middle of Derby city centre, outside McDonalds because groups of teenagers used to congregate there, and they wanted to scare them away. The kids weren't bothered by it, but I had to run past with my fingers in my ears, looking very odd because no one else there could hear it. And the computer monitor where I used to work made a similar noise, but because no one else heard it, they thought I was crazy - but it hurt!

Yes it hurts my brain a lot! I lasted about 2 seconds. James you is evil
I reckon I can hear it because I'm paritally sighted so my hearing is a lot sharper and more sensitive than is usual for someone of my age group.

I can still hear the high pitched noise now! But it doesn't seem to have bothered my border collies (one of whom is incredibly noise sensitive).
The bit where is said something like "Fido..." in a weird voice, is that the kind of voice dogs hear when you call their name/talk to them?
