Hi,
Manic day at work! You know those days when you seem to rush around like a maniac, but get nothing done?
But home now.
Gonna chill and listen to some music.
Have you checked out the YouTube clips on hair styles?
They look fab! Going out Friday night, so might try one then.
Hope your day gets better hon.

Being a burlesque novice, I havent got any tongs or curlers yet. Think your right though, dont want to be stressed before a night out.
May give Fri night a miss and practice over the weekend.

Some hairdos can be done without tongs or curlers - I do victory rolls without them. It's all a case of experimentation ^_^

Victory rolls are gorgeous!
Sorry for sounding like a twit, but I am a total newbie!
ops:
How do you get the curls to stay? Bobby pins?
Do you fix your hair everyday? Or only when you are going out?

Haha, don't worry about it! I only just started doing my hair properly a few months ago, I'm a total non-girly girl!
If I do rolls, I twist my hair around my fingers or a foam roller (which is actually more difficult than just using your fingers, FYI) and then grip them in place with kirby grips. I put a coupl in at the front, along the bottom of the roll, and then a couple at the back, and then any more if I need to tidy the roll up. Plus a lot of hairsrpay and a quick comb to fix any stray hairs in place. My rolls are gripped down mercilessly because my hair is fine - but they don't move or fall out!
I only fix my hair prettily when I'm going out, because it's quite difficult to do. Sometimes I'll do a simple style, like a rockabilly high ponytail with a quiff, or just put heated rollers in and have loose curls, but usually I just leave it as it is. But I have found that the more I experiment, the better I get ^_^

I am a girly girl, but useless with hair do's.
My make up is usually pretty good, but ive got curly hair and I tend to just leave it.
Fed up with looking like Worzel Gummage though!
I think I better get some serious practice in.
Saw some good video clips in the fashion and make up section.
Think id suit a Veronica Lake Peekaboo do.
Been told I look a bit like Veronica Lake, but the people who told me may need to go to Specsavers!

Aaw sorry about your bad day Debauched Glamour.
I haven't had a bad day as such. Got woken up at 7am by Rich's alarm- DUCK'S QUACKING! I kid you not. It was funny the first time but now it is just insanely irritating.
Normally I go back to sleep but had trouble doing so today.
I went to see my Grandma and went food shopping. Which I was pleased with until I realised I had to walk to the bus stop on my own with heavy bags
So my day has been ok but very very sleepySnowflakes and Sparkles

Mine's been full of bit's of drama - felt like our office was cursed. One guy handed in his notice and was escorted of the premises. One guy's kid got hit by a car (He's ok - just shock and a broken wrist but you can imaging how pale his dad went). Important documents went missing before a meeting with clients and the air con is stuck on arctic.
Then I had to go spend a load of money on office clothes that didn't make me feel like a hippo or a street urchin.
Sigh. But am now home and successfully resisting chocolate
