Australian help please!
Anyone know what the burlesque scene is like in Tasmania? Come to that, what is Tasmania like to live in?

I think there are a few Burlesque shows in Tas, though I have never gone to one. Tas is absolutely beautiful, the landscape and national parks are stunning. I'd be in heaven if I lived in Tas (and didnt have responsibilities!). Camping....hiking....yay! However I dont know what its like to live there, having never done it. Ive got rellies that live there and they love it. Plus your just a quick journey to the beautiful city of Adelaide which is lovely! (Can you tell I live there

Hey!
Of all the areas in Australia Tasmania will have the smallest scene because it is tiny by nature...
If you want to experience culture Sydney and Melbourne are you best bet, I haven't been home since the scene took off over there but I know there is definitely quite a bit happening in Melbourne.
I don't much about Adelaide scene though!Sapphira - Belly Dance to Burlesque

Adelaide is getting there, we have shows every couple of months. The scene really only kicked off a few years ago. I'm working to get it more attention!
WA has a pretty great burlesque scene from what I remember.

I live in Tassie, and I am a aspiring Burlesque Queen

To be honest the scene hear is pretty bad, there are a few groups popping up but burlesque here really needs a kick up the arse, maybe your just the girl to do it!
Tassie itself is beautiful and Hobart is an awesome city to live in I love it here, i'm orginally from the UK, lived in Sydney before Hobart. But Hobart is definately the place for me.
