Derbyshire / Nottinghamshire burlesque buddy wanted!!!
Hi, I'm new to this site and still finding out how to navigate around it!!!!!!
Is there anyone in the Derbyshire / Nottinghamshire area who would like a 'burlesque buddy'? There are LOTS of burlesque events coming-up locally and I have no-one to go with (sob) as all my friends are rather sad and boring!!!!!! Please help!!!!!!!!
I'm straight, single and (relatively) normal. I would just like to find others locally who are in a similar boat and don't want to sit around like billy-no-mates on the weekend. Let's get dressed-up instead and enjoy a fun night at burlesque!!

I'm in Derbyshire ...
What local events are you looking at going to? The Appleby in Burton is a good one, and it's coming up this Sunday. Nice one for a first event, I'd say

Didn't know about the Burton event - thanx
Was looking into events at pittypat club @ Bodega social in Nottingham and hurlyburly night in Derby. Any good?

Both good. The Pitty Patt is always a good night out. Hurly Burly is a completely different atmosphere - less of a club and more of a theatre show. I've performed at both in the past and also been an audience member and I can recommend them both.

Hey PixieParasol
If there's anything on a Saturday evening in either of the cities (cos it takes such a rigmerole to get home from anywhere else) and you've not buddied up already I'd definately be interested.
(PS I did post on your wall too, but realised there doesn't seem to be anything that lets you know you have wall posts so the anally retentive side of me felt compelled to post on your thread too. Not really selling myself as a prospective buddy here am I?!:daft

Glad you posted too as I didn't even know I had a wall!!!!!
Will definately be in touch as I have seen some local events in Nottingham and Derby that sound great.
Hurrah hurrah.......am no longer buddy-less!!!!!!!!!!
Just got back from rehearsals as I am dancing at Nottingham Royal Concert Hall in 2 weeks (non-burlesque) so will get in touch later when I'm a little fresher and sweeter than I am now. Probably too much information.........

Would absolutely LOVE to but am shattered from todays dance rehearsals. Is the appleby a regular event? If so will DEFINATELY be there next time.
