My name was given to me by a dear friend of mine. When she wrote letters and emails to me, she would address me as "La Divina" and I fell in love with the name. I used this name years before I got into burlesque. A few months ago, while listening to a great Maria Callas aria, I looked her up on Wikipedia and found out that "La Divina" was the pet name her close friends and dearest fans used for her!
Oops! Well, obviously, I CANNOT hold a candle to the divine Maria. I just hope she's not turning in her grave!

what's in a name??
...i'm stuck too....
i use dali for my modelling as i love dali and as he is really bizarre and mis understood, as i am... i opted for this but i dont think it works as a burlesque name, i'd love something really great and memorable or that makes me smile like i do when i read other peoples names....
where do you even begin???
ive been thinking about the whole what do i want to say about me when im onstage thing and i dont really know, i love fetish and strange stuff, but i also adore the vintage pin up style so i guess id be like some crazy split persona performer! end up calling myself schizophrenia or something lol....
though till i decide on a name looks like i'll never get round to performing, not that i have any routines yet either.... still thinking on that one too....
it is however the hardest thing ever..... its just as bad as naming your kids, and yes it took me ages to do that too!
grrr.... i'll have to keep my thinking cap on, that or ask to borrow Master Mifier's inspiration stick lol....
much love Dali xxxx

It was just me!

I started off with Lady B, because i am Lady Brown. Then i liked Electra Fying, then Rose Garden which was a character i used to play, but when i did some research i found a drag act called Miss Rose Garden.
I stuck with the name Rose, for a few days and different names with Rose in them which i really liked and in repect of Gypsy Rose Lee, and settled on Rosey Lee. It also suits my routines which have elements of roses in them.

I chose my name very simply, I have a big bum or Booty, and I thought Das Booty was quite humorous. And I always liked the name Trixie.
I don't perform or anything, I use it in some of my photographs and such.
xx
Trixie
