It is terrible isn't it? I don't suppose there's any chance of geting them to call it something else to get them out of our hair is there :eyebrows:?

Agreed, if it's a bit of fun for the bedroom at home or a different way to get fitter whilst feeling good about yourself

And this I'm also in agreement with you - we already have too many egos and Divas (NOT Diva Hollywood) wandering into the scene, doing one half arsed act and then thinking they are brilliant because their friends, family and partner say they're perfect. My show may take newbies on it's stage but I'd be worried about using someone who has been trained by a teenager who appears to have no concept of the history of Burlesque and could be very suspect in her ability to teach about the art.

So long as the women in attendance only want a good time for their money it's theirs to spend/waste (delete as you feel appropriate)

I accept that my knowledge of Burlesque history is far from complete, but even I know that her comments about it's origins and the revival are inaccurate. I feel that this young lady would do great on daytime TV with Fern Britton and her comment to Dia earlier this year "We don't have Burlesque in the UK".

Who knows, maybe the MD of Polestars has seen the word being bandied about and thought "Bandwagon". I guess with Burlesque becoming more and more popular lots of unscrupulous people are seeing the pound signs in teaching.

So long as a workout group remains a workout group I could care less. I just worry that some women will see Polestars as a route to performing.

Me neither.....but she has a point, I mean all we have in the UK is the hope that Judy Finnegan's dress might one day have a wardrobe malfunction again, isn't it? Doh! What planet has Fern been living on?

I watched the Ditta interview with Fern and Philip - I'd be quite happy to take that gastric band and wrap it around Ferns neck for such a useless interview.

My resistance to the woman in question is amazing but I suspect the real issue is a crap keyboard or finger co-ordination.

I just watched the video, and I feel very sorry for the girl completely. Poor thing not knowing what shes talking about.

I think we should invite young Steph to the silk stocking or something, maybe we could pass it off as attempting to help her good cause.
