    Post Burlesque Radio

    Hi everyone!

I am currently doing a level one course in Radio Production at Switch Radio in Brum and as part of our final project I have to do a 10 minute radio programme on any subject of my choice.

So I have decided to do mine on Burlesque but more specifically Burlesque in the West Midlands.
It will be a mock radio show that probably wont go out live however if they allow me to keep a copy I will post it up online and see if anyone is inspired to do a real show on the subject

I am currently writing the format and script for it which will include music, interviews, events news, fashion tips and competitons.

Obviously I wont be able to squeeze all of this into a ten minute sample but it's all there to give the recording a degree of authenticity.

Anybody have suggestions for subjects I can quickly touch upon in the sample ?

    Wink

Actually while thinking about it I have decided to do a show about British Burlesque in general as opposed to just the west midlands.

If anyone has any ideas of things I could include please let me know

Oh I certainly will be mentioning any current news about our American Burlesque Family...any recommendations for strip beat tunes ? I only have time for two songs I reckon due to the running time of Ten Minutes.

Well if you are going to keep the show as organic as possible I would reccomend Palookaville's version of Bogatini, another great and i would say underrated Uk burlesque style band are the amazing Docktor Combover who hail from Liverpool, check them out on myspace they have a truly sleazy sound.

I certainly shall look them up, any ideas for features or something like Top Five Pasite tips or Top Five Tassel tips ?
