    Default Burlesque for guys?

    Hey

Currently I have been teaching Pole Dancing for 5 years and want to start learning Burlesque. I am comfortable with my body and love using it to show how graceful a guy can be.

My question is are there any male instructors out there or female instructors who can show a guy what to do? Are males allowed in normal classes?

Any feedback will be gratefully received

First things first- Welcome! I know that guys were very much welcome on the workshop by Rhymes with Purple that Suzuki Sparks and many other Scots girls attended. So the answer to your question would appear to be at least a partial "yes". Big respect on the pole dancing- very physical! Do you have any video clips on YouTube or whatever?

I know there are men involved in burlesque and I can't see why you couldn't join in!

I'm learning pole dancing and apparently our teacher is going to start classes for men on a horizontal pole because that would appeal more to them. What do you think of this? Do you teach lots of men? What made you want to get into it?

Can I second the welcome , and add a little more info to what Dr Silverlight has said.

My better half, Lilly, does Gypsy and Viva's class in Edinburgh, and there are a few guys that go to these regular classes (see Captain Sparkles & David, as well as Impressive Johnson). I don't know about London, but I can safely say that guys are more than welcome in at least some Burlesque classes!

Damn! That's some serious showing off there. Nice one. BTW, top choice of backing track for the vid
