Default songs you'd love to hear at a burly night.

There are some very good singers on the burlesque scene.

Imelda May, Liberty Pink, Des O conner, Fred Bear, Em Brule,
Inara queen of the night, Midnight Blue...

Has anybody thought of forming a troupe ?

If any of the ladies you quoted could sing and perform like this:
I would be in the front row to enjoy it.

Oh broomy, I am desperate to get a decent backing track to that song! I say decent as I have a not-great 2 verse version I intend to try and stick together unless someone can find it elsewhere

I've been thinking recently how I'd love to get together with some other performers. It would be great fun! I feel a bit out in the wilds and transportless in Ashford tho so maybe need to put out a note to find someone local

I bet you would make one brilliant third of the Andrews Sisters. Could I suggest, with respect, that, given the presentation of your web page, don't blush, I know that I have complimented you on it before, you might promote yourself in other circles, such as this lady, with whom I've worked with on a few occasions, sadly we seem to have drifted apart of late, but I did get a wonderful Christmas card from her and her husband.

Oh and don't feel cut off in Ashford, we all feel that out of London, just remember your quality of life, and the safety you feel in raising your family. xx

I did have a wild and crazy dream of forming an all female barbershop quartet with a saucy theatrical feel - but when it comes down to it i am not nearly able enough to put together the musical arrangements... that and finding a female bass is hard!

What a great idea Emerald!! I'm sure there MUST be some way around that... I don't think a female barbershop quartet has ever been done before but I know I'd pay good money to see it!! xxx

Emerald, I'd be in that with you like a shot! My voice is absolutely terrible when I sing on my own (nerves hit me horribly, you see - I can strip on stage but not sing, how odd ...) but put me in a group and I'm not half bad! I'm thinking an East Midlands female barbershop quartet could have some mileage!
