As some of you may know, i'm heading back 'up north' in a few days and wondered if anyone knew of any burlesque related events going on in the manchester area between now and March.

There's a few bits going on in Manc - Slippery Belle, Dr Sketchys? several other things... someone who actually HAS a life might be able to help you out a little more than me!! lol. For shopping there's a lil boutique on Tibb St (parallel to Oldham st) and afleks palace.

There are bazillions of things In Manchester.

In the centre there are NUMEROUS Vintage Charity shops. At the back of afflecks palace. (in fact if you go out of the door past cyberdog its that road.)

Wasn't sure if Whim Wham were still going but managed to track down Carnival Divine again. Hurrah!
I'm not really free evenings after the 10th Feb but could go along to the nights, after the shows and soak up the post performance atmosphere... after running from the post performance atmosphere at the theatre I'm working at!

Bella Besame was doing some classes not long back, I'm not sure if she still is but get in touch. The glitter kittens were doing some too, but I haven't heard much for a long while now so I'm assuming they're finished with them now...

I've found a couple of fitness classes, based on Burlesque, which isn't exactly what I'm after but is better than nothing. Very excited about visiting the new KIKU store. My first weeks wages (which I don't get til 15th Jan!) are already spent on the WKD sale so I guess I'll be pre-spending my second week's wages in KIKU. Oh dear :-/
I was offered a job in Rags to Bitches, a while ago, but was only part-time. I was so sad to turn it down. I've been a bit embarrassed to go in, since then.

I'm pretty sure that Bella Besame will still be doing clases, I did a one day one about two years ago now and a 6 week one just over a year ago. I'd recommend them to anyone.
She's on myspace if you don't already have contact details for her and she usually replies prety quickly
