name chack
Hello does anyone already have the name Follie Mae? I have the name Follie Mae Stumble in my head which I'm liking but my memory if so bad I don't know if I've just heard it before somewhere and forgot. As names go its not glam or burlesque but suits the ditzy 1920's inspired character I have in mind.

Google brings up nothing. I've never heard of it being used before. I've heard of Dolly Mae (I think), and there is (correct me if I'm wrong) Holli-Mae from 21:CP, but no Follie Mae. I think it's really cute and pretty unique, and that if it's not taken, which I don't think it is, you should definitely use it. The Stumble adds to it - I like!

Where is the best place to look to see if there is a burlesque performer using a certain name.(apart from google) Is there a list or anything?
I have 2 names that i have decided on. 1 of them is fine and is not used but I really like another one which may or not be used by someone as I can't find anything on google at the mo and don't want to tread on anyone's toes

There's Polly Rae, London based. Otherwise that incarnation is not taken. I think the triple barrelled name will def. stop any confusion between her, you and Holli-Mae or Dolly Mae. xx

Holli-Mae has performed and written under the professional name Holli-Mae Johnson for about eight years. She also has an annual show called Holli's Follies.
Oh and Anjelflower - we are working on providing a well updated list xx
