Totally Gutted
The venue which i put on my rock-o-rama nights at have decided to cancel all nights after the gig this month.
The beauty of me having my nights at this particular venue was that they paid for the acts and bands as they kept all the door takings and it was all for charity.
I'm going to be taking a break from promotion now until i can find the energy and money to put nights on off my own back.
Apologies to anyone who really wanted to perform, come to or help out with Rock-O-Rama.
I'm totally gutted

I'm really sorry to hear that Katy, after all the hard work you've put in. I'd heard a rumour, from a band, last week and hoped it wasn't true. Don't give up!

Unfotunately it is
but i've decided to be selfish now and focus on me, sounds harsh but i was putting a lot of hard work in and now feel like i'm not even going to get a thankyou so this year i think i'm going to throw myself back into shoots, so just say the word! x

Shame to hear you've been booted from your venue!

Similar thing happened to me - the venue decided to put on burlesque classes and decided that an event as well might be over-saturation ...
Irritating!

Is that why Bonne Nuit Speakeasy is on hiatus! Strangeley enough I saw your Leicester show as very affordable compared to one of the other local shows so I imagined you'd be flooded with customers once you got your reputation out in the public eye (if that didn't happen on the first night).

In a word, yes
We thought it was pretty affordable and very good value for the line up we had. I did hope we could get established and successful. But we're planning on moving somewhere that might actually work out as being much better for us, so watch this space ...
