bloody live journal... so many of my friends when we were at school fell out over LJ it was crazy... i only recently found my account again and quickly deleted all my emo-tastic 'i hate my life' blogs haha!
dont worry, everyone knows its easier to press PUBLISH than to really get annoyed at someone

What a lot of people forget about this country is freedom of speech. Also, any muppet who cannot take criticism, then think it through, agree or disagree then forget it all, should shoot them selfs. I had one American from a Digital photography yahoo group totally and utterly slate every single image I had on Flickr.............He even launched into a tirade about "Stupid ENGLISHMEN who cannot use a camera" etc and so forth. I did not get angry, he was 100% correct from HIS point of view BUT, he got in a right strop when I sent him the names and proof etc of the two horse magazines I freelance for AND the fact that I was NOT English but Scottish. Then he threatened to ruin MY photographic career.........Yeah, right muppet! So, I would not even be bothered about said person threatening, you have said sorry, the end.

Before you beat yourself up ask yourself a couple of very pertinent questions. Firstly have they got the wrong end of the stick or over reacted? That's very frequent online as you get no no non-verbal queues so a simple throw away remark can be interpreted as a devastating assault on the core of another's being. If this is the case you've made you're apologies and I would probably leave it there - can this one person really destroy your career? Secondly if this wasn't the case and comment was actually critical was it valid? If this is the case then the chances are high that you aren't the only one that feels the same way and he/she is going to have problems with a whispering campaign against you if others feel the same way but just haven't voiced their feelings!
