    Default Names

    Hi,

I am having trouble picking my name, and there have been alot of threads about if names are being used already. I thought we could have one big thread which people could ask in?

Not sure if it has already been done, but would be a good place to start. So if you think its a good idea, we could post names we would like to use here, and then it will become another place people could check?

Jezebel is a very common burlesque name, there are already several on this forum for example including Jezebel Starlight and Scarlett Jezebel. As I said to Lucia on another thread, you might want to think carefully about using common names and choose something that makes you stand out more.

But at the end of the day, it's whatever works for you and your burlesque character. Both parts of my name are pretty common but together they describe the kind of burlesque character I want to portray, so it works for me.

Also, lots of people go through several names before they decide on the one that works, which is fine. I'd suggest you heavily Google any name to see what might be out there - plenty of stories about new performers who inadvertantly or otherwise started using the name of a much more established performer and the trouble that ensued - very much not the done thing!

What's wrong with Lucia Rosati? Is it your real name and you want to create a different persona?

It's a lovely name and conjures up images of a sultry latino lady - I think it works! And in my humble opinion, using something quite generic and so similar to all the other burly girls around isn't wise; in fact, it's a bit of a come-down. Stick with what you've got and be a bit different and unique!

    There's a UK-based performer called Luna Rosa.

Depending on how you pronounce Lucia Rosa, it may be a bit too similar?
