Burly Queens Rule Reality TV
First Michelle L’Amour got sassy with the Hoff on America’s Got Talent. Then the Glamazons made it to the top ten on the same show. Now, Sarah Hartshorne, who performs as Vita Lightly with the Boston Babydolls, takes on Tyra in America’s Next Top Model. Watch out Kelly Clarkson. You might just get bumped by [...]

It's About Time.....
Hello. Just signed up here yesterday. Had a chance to read this post about burlesque queens ruling reality TV. I gotta say...It's about time too.
I was one of the many who voted for Michelle in Season 1 of America's Got Talent, I felt that what she was tasteful and not exploitive. And I heard about the Glamazons making it for this year's show; Gee, could the reason be why they made it and not Michelle was perhaps something of the judges' decisions(And I'm talking about Brandy from Season 1) dissing Michelle and comparing her act, and all burlesque routines with what goes on at certain gentlemen's clubs. I'm glad they made it as far as they did, though.
I hope to see how that plays out with Sarah vs. Tyra on Top Model. But, what I would like to see, is a reality show about finding the next great burlesque queen. Like the reality show "Strip Search", it would be finding an estimated 8 or 9 girls to form an new burlesque-themed revue. You could do it in an "American Idol" kind of format, and have someone like Dita Von Teese, MIss Dirty Martini, or Michelle L'Amour as the judges. (Wonder which one could be like Simon Cowell)
