Thread: travelling the UK in the summer

okie dokey, I've decided to get off my twinkly bum this summer and go a travelling through the UK, change of scenery and all that However this got me to thinking, while I'm a wandering why not put the feelers out and see if I cant perform along the way? So I thought I'd ask you lovely peoples, what's the best way of approaching various promoters across our green and pleasant land and if anyone can point out good people to speak to to get the ball rolling!

I'd take up NUMBERVONSON's offer - his showreels are very slick.

If a performer was to approach me then the perfect way would be via an e-mail to my website or a PM via MySpace. I would like a short introduction, explaining how long that person had been performing and if they had done anything in the past that would back up what they do now. Links to photographs are always a bonus but a showreel of an act or clips of various acts mixed together would then be the best option for me to judge whether I would want to employ that person and in what position on the stage.

I don't appreciate being spammed month in, month out by the same performer looking for work. I have one performer who has lost any chance of working my stage because once a month I get a request for work from them. If you wish to ask me about working my show again please give it a couple of months before contacting me again, and if I do book you please note that you could be waiting upto 6 months until performance day.

Anyone reading this please be aware that we are booked up to beyond June in certain places.
