    Default naked nurses

OMG just seen this show, how inspiring, bless ,one persons bette noire can seem so mundane ? to some one else or have I got it the wrong way around

saying that can i just say that sometimes you really don't have to do the fear factor thing, just so it can be character building. It's not character building at all when it's just fear induceing I did a "hill walk" called the cheviot challenge a couple of years ago in spite of knowing better, new job and all that, grrr. what would have been character buiding would have been just saying no! I don't do that, don't want to do it,and ain't going to do it
Im not good with hieghts but i'm not scared by them, I just get really sick and need to crawl around the floor when things get bad, any way all the corprate team building stuff seems to be geared towards testoerone type challenges (and I am not dissing the programme here just making a piont )but it was a very good programme and way to go ladies !

Has anyone ever went crabbing? Have any of you ever sat and watched a bucket of crabs? One crab tries to climb up over the backs of the others to get away but, three or four ALWAYS pull it back down again. Does anyone see what I am getting at here? I have just finished watching the program about 3 minutes ago. And what a great spirit building program it was. Some words spring to mind, NEED, WANT, PASSION. Yep it is really easy to sit and watch a program like that and say things like "Oh well, thats not for me coz my mum wont like it" "Oh well, I am much too fat to do that" "Oh well, I cann't dance so that lets me out!". Etc and so forth. Mostly though it comes down to the company of "they/them" and CONFIDENCE. Ok, we would LIKE to to do a Burlesque routine on stage, in front of mummy and daddy and hubby or total strangers, ( I am using Burlesque coz this is a Burlesque web site), we sit on the bed or in the chair mulling it over, we chat to a "friend" about it who falls about laughing OR says some thing like "Oh, YOU wanna be A STRIPPER!!". Confidence takes a knock. Add ALL these knocks up over however amount of years the person has been on the planet and we come to people like those nurses and the Taxi drivers next time. Safe and secure in their own little worlds where no one can possibly get to them, or are they? They were all chosen coz they WANTED to change, get better, DO SOMETHING, get some where other than mundane life. They felt a NEED, they then WANTED to do "it" badly enough to do something about it. The last word is PASSION. Look at Scarlet Fever? What was going through HER head, look at what happened to her and Tony as a couple, and then, look at where they are NOW. How did Scarlet Fever get there? Ok, she got the chance, so can everyone with a wee bit of hard work, she dipped out afterwards then she got PASSIONATE about it all. She stamped her foot, she waved her arms, well I hope she did anyway She shouted at her self, she went out there and SAID "F*CK IT, I AM WHAT I AM AND I AM A WINNER AND I AM GOING TO DO IT!!" or words to that effect, and she did. Funny thing is, and Beatrix and Kittie Klaws and Fleur and Jo-Jo and all the others who are working at Burlesque will probably back me up here, the MORE passionate you get, the more WORK you do, the LUCKIER you get. remember those numpties who reckoned one couldn't do something? Remember the tender foot telling the Scout he/she would NEVER be an Eagle Scout, or the school numptie who was useless at everything coz he or she was bone idle telling you that YOU would never do that? Isn't it amazing that years later after all the HARD WORK was done, said numptie could only come back with "Oh, youre a lucky b*st*rd! I never got a chance to do anything!" What gets up my wick are the people who have acheived sweet sod all telling everyone else that it is all a waiste of time, why do you want to do something as stupid as that! And people actually LISTEN to them and act on what the numptie says! Does the person want to learn Burlesque? Is the answer yes? Then why the bloody hell chat with a loser instead of them who are actively DOING it.

Yes Miss Lotus, it was awe inspiring, the lass who over came her abject fear in the aircraft and the other lass who might not have got her boobs out and Tassled BUT, she went on that stage and DID it, totally awe inspiring and a real credit to Burlesque AND the people who were running the program and last but not least, the FANTASTIC Miss Jo-Jo. What a teacher and confidence builder.
I agree with you whole heartedly about the corporate Team Building bullshit that goes on, "Remember, there is no I in TEAM!" No, but there is an M and an E you muppet! Very few actually have any clue as to what to do with those who are scared of various items on the agenda, like rock climbing or sky diving and them that are running the course have no idea how to address those issues.
Sorry guys n gals, needed to vent a bit of the STOP FAFFING AROUND AND GET OF YOUR ARSE AND DO IT routineops:

I will shut up now and crawl back into my bucket.
