Acey Slade Announces Full UK Tour as part of BurlAce Beauties and Leg Show Revue
Murderdolls guitarist touring UK in May 2009 and working with Vicky Butterfly to find UK Burlesque Dancers to share the stage with him
Acey Slade has announced a ten-date UK tour this May. The tour will be billed as the BurlAce Beauties and Leg Show Revue and will feature a full headline set from Acey and his band, support from up and coming Nottingham act Patchwork Grace and a burlesque show and competition each night.
Having not toured the UK with his own band for over two years Acey is ensuring that his return to the UK gives his fans the chance to come and see an event rather than just another gig.
Each night four girls will perform burlesque dance routines as part of a nationwide competition. A winner will be chosen every night based on crowd reaction and a panel of judges including top UK burlesque performer Vicky Butterfly and of course Acey himself. Vicky Butterfly has appeared in music videos with and on tour projections for Elliot Minor, The Verve, Kings of Leon and Paul Weller amongst others.
Acey and Vicky Butterfly will then pick an overall winner from the tour who wins a prize pack worth over £800 including a corset made by Hellmade Corsets, a 15x20 acrylic hand painted image of the winner by top pin-up artist Susan Heidi and clothing from Evil Needs and Drop Dead Sexy. Acey is hoping to also give the winner the chance to perform alongside Vicky Butterfly and his band at an upcoming London show.
Acey Slade said:
"I'm stoked to be coming back to the UK with my new band and a hugely exciting show. We're playing a fresh new hybrid of electro rock punk and I can't wait for my UK fan base to experience it first hand. I wanted this tour to be a real event, which is why I wanted to run the BurlAce Beauties and Leg Revue Show competition. Everybody knows that the world is in a fucked up mess economically right now and I want to give people real bang for their buck when they come out to see us.
Every show will see four girls dancing and each night we'll pick a winner. From these 10 Burlesque dancers Vicky Butterfly and myself will pick an overall winner who will win an amazing prize pack which will hopefully include the chance to perform alongside Vicky Butterfly at one of my London shows."
Girls wishing to take part in the competition should log on to myspace dot com forward slash legshowreview (written out long hand as i cannot post url's as yet as i have not made enough posts to this forum) and submit a photo and short paragraph about themselves and details of the show they want to perform at. Full competition details can be found on this site.
The full tour runs as follows:
Wed 13 May - London The Fly
Thu 14 May - Dumfries The Venue
Fri 15 May - Glasgow Stereo
Sat 16 May - Nottingham Seven
Sun 17 May - Grimsby Yardbirds
Mon 18 May - Manchester Satan's Hollow
Tues 19 May - Blackburn Corrupted
Wed 20 May - Southampton Talking Heads
Thu 21 May - Birmingham Eddies Rock Club
Fri 22 May - Leeds Rios
Harmonix Music, makers of the game Rock Band 2, have recently based two characters in the game (the singer of the punk band and the guitarist in the rock band) on Acey and his high-energy second to none stage antics.
Acey's current touring band features Andee on Guitars (Warrior Soul), Per C on bass (Cylab) and Chris Kling (Theo and the Sky Scrapers, Morningwood) on drums. Acey is planning to release his debut solo album later this year following the successful release of 2008's Sex, Murder, Art, Baby EP.
Support for all shows comes from Nottingham's Patchwork Grace who were hand picked by Acey after previously touring with Trash Light Vision.

For those who want an easier link than the one Nick was forced to post, www.myspace.com/legshowreview and good luck to all the entrants. Now I finally have a good reason to go to the new Eddies, apathy and laziness have been slain.
