Hello.
Hi there,
I'm 36 and a married mum with a teenage daughter. I'm looking forward to discovering a new me. :excited:
I'm very new to the Burlesque scene, have wanted to have a go for ages and finally had the opportunity to do a workshop a few weekends ago with the lovely Scarlet Fever. I also went to my first Burlesque show in Llandudno at the weekend and absolutely loved it. It was just like stepping back in time, very nice and a brilliant evening, thanks to everyone for being so lovely and friendly. Can't wait for the next show.
I am hooked and have spent the whole afternoon today attempting to make pasties. I have lots of ideas for them but really don't know where to start....
I would also like to have a go at making the feather fans so if anyone has any advice on that I'd be most greatful. Unfortunately my budget doesn't stretch to me buying some.
I have doing belly dance and pole dance for a few years now and would love to get into Burlesque. I have even sorted out my name... Angel T'Lite... just gotta work on my image and character :excited:
Am loving this site and forum, just need a day off work to read it all

I agree with you. I took up pole dance 3 years ago and belly dance 2 years ago, my family all think I'm mad but are no longer shocked by my new interests. Have even asked my mum to get me the MoB Dvd for my birthday. xx

Welcome to the forums. I'm sure you'll find plenty of warm friendships and wise words of advice here.
There are a few performers who substitute their income by making feather fans and, as such, can be very protective of their secrets.
It would be worth you looking into the price of large feathers and how many you will need to make a full set of fans as the size you'd like - the cost of feathers is the reason that feather fans are so expensive.
