International Fees – Euros or Stirling?
Hopefully an interesting topic for discussion; when negotiating for international fees, do most performers ask for their remunerations amount to be calculated in Sterling, Euros, or indeed, Dollars? I was speaking with a model friend last night who told me most girls in her scene are now asking for their fee in Euros wherever possible, even when doing gigs in the US, as it is now the most stable currency in terms of the exchange rate. I am wondering if this is the same as burlesque performers' experiences?
Obviously if you will be abroad for a good few days and are being paid cash, the local currency would probably be of most benefit, but what if it is by bank transfer, or you are only going to be in the country for a very short time around the show?
...any thoughts out there?WARNINGWarning: This is an Old Thread
