    Default repitore?

    Gosh is it this late?
must be cause i'm still wide awake and thinking about all kinds of stuff..
my latest wondering is once you have your first act/ routine done and under your belt
(with lots of ideas on how to improve and polish it) how do you decide what to do next.
my problem is chronic indescision, loads of ideas but no direction, give me a deadline something to work towards no problem, just sitting and thinking ends up with me just doing nothing but sitting and thinking. Would idealy like to have 3 or 4 pieces that I could realy work on and put out there so to speak instead of waiting to see if something presents its self.
Question is, how do you pick the ideas to go for, my main thing is they have to realy inspire me, be entertaining and be something that would appeal to a promoter etc. i'm not looking to performing as a way of making money but that dosen't mean the end product is any less than it can be, if that makes sense, any help would be realy nice

Personally, I now only perform the acts I feel a personal affinity with... But obviously such acts also need to have potential to get booked... Again, this is relative to the stages one wishes to work upon.

I don't know if it helps but I found one way of sorting out ideas is to simply write down all the info you've got about each potential new routine on a piece of paper and then really read back what you've written for each routine.

When I did this I found is so much easier to decide which routines grabbed me as something that I really wanted to work on and which ones didn't when I could see all of their details pulled together on paper in front of me than I could when all of them had just been ideas floating about inside my head.

This could be just me though - I'm not sure how anyone else feels about it?
