Where to find fan frames, and opinions on a stage name?
Two questions, thought I'd just lump them together...
first of all, I am looking to buy frames to make a pair of large fans. I don't want feather fans so it seems rather daft to spend the money on them only to alter them. If anyone knows where these are available, please let me know!
And secondly, though I thought I had settled on a stage name I liked, as my first routine comes closer to being a reality I find myself trying to come up with something else.
Any thoughts on my current tentative choice -- Ava VanKlaas ?
Feedback much appreciated!

Fan frames... do you mean staves? Like the picture attached. If so, I sell those, though I'd have to order some in as I have none in stock at the moment...

I'm selling a pair of acrylic ostrich.com fan staves. They're quite bulky but they're practically indestructable. I used them for my stained glass fans but have recently changed their design, so I've got a spare pair of staves on my hands ...

Fleur, that sounds pretty perfect -- I'm no good with fans anyway so bulky can't really make matters worse.

How much are they? And how much would it be to ship 'em to Glasgow?

£20 for the pair, probably something like 2-3 quid for postage. I find bulky easier to handle anyway as I have long fingers, but each to their own. They're the staves you get on the ostrich.com junior fans, so they're shorter than the ones they're currently selling. Twelve staves in a set, pre-assembled on the bolt with all the washers - but no wire or fishing line, I'm afraid. Bit scratched as they've been used, but that's barely noticeable, still as strong and durable as ever. Cost over £40 new. Let me know via PM ^_^

Hi Belle
I make fans and have a supply of bamboo staves in stock. I also have a spare pair of plastic staves (quite heavy) from when I reconstructed a pair of fans onto bamboo. If you haven't already sorted something, drop me a line!
