Southcoast showreel
I've been in talks with an old friend who runs a media company about producing a showreel. (I know there are various people around the UK who offer the service but it's so much easier if I can do one without a couple of hours train journey).
I just thought I'd see if anyone else based down here or who can get to Southampton or Portsmouth would be interested?WARNINGWarning: This is an Old Thread

Ok, I know it's been a while.
I was offline for a while due to a family emergency. Luckily I'm no longer spending most my time at the ICU so am back to organising my life again
The good news is that we have a place in Portsmouth, It looks like we'll be able to offer people 4 5 min slots. You could choose to do four separate routines or repeat two twice (Or whatever you wanted to do in those slots). We'll have different cameras recording from separate angles. And the option of some extras such as a mini interview if wanted.
It would be on a weekend, most likely a Saturday and looking at the costs of hiring the place and the equipment we'd be charging no more the £50. (With the option of splitting the cost of a MUA if desired.)
Anyone still interested?

I'm well up for this!
Actually, this is odd as I was just thinking two hours ago that I really need a showreel.
Do you have any idea of when this will be (very rough is fine). Just so I know how much time I have to get my new acts polished to perfection.

We're just waiting to clear it with the venue but most likely to be September/October

Any newbies out there - you won't believe how useful a showreel is for getting gigs and promotional purposes

We'd be up for this Eris if it's going to be September, October may be too late for what I need it for - would be grateful if you could keep me posted on dates.
Thanks sweetie

Will this be an ongoing service or just for Sept/Oct? I am still sorting out final bits of costumes and props but i would be very interested.

It's just going to be a one off for now. If it works well and there's demand we may try and do it again at some point. It's a big thing to organise the equipment, crew and location for a reasonable price.
If you've only got the odd thing to get then I'd say go for it. Unless requested the entire routine will not be shown (to put of those people who have been known to 'borrow' routines), but instead it will be edited so any costume you're not 100% happy with can be edited out
Hopefully I'll have some dates by the end of the week.
