Thread: A big hello!! And a call for help!

Hellooooooooooo all,

it has been a while since I've visited the site (looks fecking amazing btw James) as my new job has ended up taking up lots of time! I didn't realise how long it had been till I got an mob email throuh asking where I'd been! Lol. Really nice to see familiar faces on here though!

Also asking a big favour from you guys, I'm sure some of you know about the cuts in Arts Council unding to arts organisations across the UK to make more money for the olympics, well we found out just before xmas (boo!) that the Arts Council are going to cut our funding by almost half !!! If any of you have time to visit my theatres website thebushtheatre to sign an online petition it would really help us out. And they have only given us till January 15th to appeal (rotters!). Around 51 arts organisations across the UK have been affected including Drill Hall, London Disability Arts Forum and People Show and if this cut becomes a reality our theatre (and many others) will struggle to survive.

getting truly sick of this, a few organisations i work with have had money pulled because of the olympic behemoth... ironically one such group was formed to train kids to perform circus in the olympic ceremonies!

Just signed it.Seems to be lets have an Olympic games at any cost!!!Sure there will be winners but the attitude seems to be to hell with the people who are going to suffer as a result!!!
